Equipment

Ingredients

  • 4 6 oz Chicken Breasts Boneless, Skinless
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • ½ tsp Paprika
  • ½ tsp Cumin
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 cup Salsa
  • ½ cup Cheddar Cheese Shredded
  • ½ cup Monterey Jack Cheese Shredded
  • ½ cup Tortilla Strips

Instructions

  • In a small bowl mix together the onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, and cumin. Sprinkle on both sides of each chicken breast.
  • In a large fry pan heat up olive oil on medium heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts.
Cook until lightly golden brown. Flip and cook until that side is golden brown also. This will be about 3-4 minutes per side. Reduce the heat to low.
  • Pour ¼ cup of salsa on top of each chicken breast. Cover with the lid and simmer until the chicken breasts are done. This will be another 4-5 minutes. You will need to adjust the time based on the thickness of the chicken breasts. Top with cheese and let it melt. It will be 1-2 minutes.
  • Place the chicken on a plate and top with the tortilla strips. Serve immediately.
