When it comes to breakfast, nothing quite beats a stack of warm, delicious homemade pancakes drizzled with syrup and topped with your favorite fruits. Whether you’re looking for a weekend treat or a quick weekday breakfast, homemade pancakes are easy to whip up and incredibly satisfying.
In a large mixing bowl add flour, sugar, and baking powder. Whisk together.
In a separate bowl mix together the milk, beaten egg, melted butter, and vanilla.
Pour the wet ingredients in with the dry ingredients and whisk together until the batter is smooth. Let rest for about 15 minutes.
Preheat the griddle to 350 degrees or if you are using a frying pan preheat it on medium heat.
Add butter or oil to the pan. Pour in the pancake batter and fry for a few minutes until several bubbles form on the pancake. Flip the pancake(s) and cook until the other side is golden brown.
Serve immediately. If you are making multiple batches of pancakes, they can be kept warm in the oven on 170 degrees until you are ready to serve them.
