Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Grease a 2-quart baking dish or an 8x8 baking pan.
On medium heat brown the ground beef and the onion. Drain.
Microwave 1 beef boullion cube in ½ cup of water in 30 second increments until disolved. It'll take about 1 to 1½ minutes.
Pour the beef broth, flour, all-purpose seasoning, and thyme into the ground. Stir.
Put the ground beef mixture into the greased baking dish. Spread evenly.
Top with the sliced potatoes. Season with a sprinkle of all-purpose seasoning.
Cover with foil and bake for 55 minutes or until the potatoes are fork tender.
Sprinkle the cheese and the crumbled bacon over the potatoes and return to the oven for about 3-5 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
Serve immediately.
