Grilled Teriyaki Pork Chops

Grilled Teriyaki Pork Chops

Grilled Teriyaki Pork Chops is a delicious flavor twist on grilled pork chops.  It creates very tender and moist pork chops.  I usually grill them outside, but they can be grilled indoors, baked, fried, or air fried too.

Ingredients

I use boneless pork loin chops.  Often, I will buy one big pork loin when they are on special and using a meat knife, cut it into 1-inch-thick chops and bag them in meal size packages to freeze.

The marinade is made up of honey, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, canola oil, and rice vinegar.  They all get placed into a smaller microwaveable bowl and microwaved for about 1 minute.  Microwaving softens the honey and allow the honey and brown sugar to mix better with all of the ingredients.

Marinading & Grilling

Put the pork chops into a bowl or a resealable bag and pour in the marinade.  Marinade for 2 to 12 hours.  The longer you marinade the more flavor the meat will absorb and the more it will tenderize from the acids in the marinade.  Don’t over marinade the meat.  The meat can get mealy and mushy if over marinaded.

Preheat your grill to a medium heat and add the pork chops.  We grill each side for 3 minutes.  To give the pork chops the pretty grill marks, give the meat a quarter turn and then grill 1 more minute on each side.

You will want to grill the pork chops, so they are no longer pink inside.  They will continue to cook a bit after they are off the grill.  If your pork chops are dry and tough, they are oven cooked.  With pork chops there is a very fine line between cooked perfectly and over cooked.

Serving

I would serve these Grilled Teriyaki Pork Chops with Twice Baked Mashed Potatoes and Fried Fresh Asparagus with No Bake Funfetti White Chocolate Cheesecake for dessert.   If you want only one side dish, Vegetable Orzo Pasta is great with these pork chops.  It tastes like summer!

Happy Grilling!
