- French Toast Skewers Cut the cooked French toast into cubes and alternate with fresh fruit on skewers. Serve with a side of maple syrup or a yogurt dip for a fun, portable breakfast.
Tips for Perfect French Toast
- Choose the Right Bread: Texas toast is perfect for this recipe because of its thickness and ability to soak up the egg mixture without falling apart. Other great options include brioche, challah, or sourdough.
- Don’t Soak Too Long: A quick dip is all you need to ensure the bread is coated but not soggy.
- Use Fresh Spices: Freshly ground cinnamon or nutmeg can make a big difference in flavor.
- Homemade Vanilla will elevate Classic French Toast to a new level of deliciousness.
- Serve Immediately: French toast is best enjoyed hot off the skillet for maximum crispness.
Whether you stick to the classic recipe or get creative with one of these unique serving ideas, Classic French Toast is a breakfast that never goes out of style. So grab your skillet and get ready to turn a simple loaf of bread into a morning masterpiece. Bon appétit!
