Caramel Apple Cheesecake Salad

Caramel Apple Cheesecake Salad

Caramel Apple Cheesecake Salad, is it a salad or is it a dessert?  It can be either one you want it to be.  It’s so good, you can’t go wrong!  This salad is very simple and very quick to make to serve as a side, salad, dessert, a snack, or for something to bring to a potluck.  It is a perfect salad for summer barbeque or a gathering with family or friends.

Ingredients

There are only 5 ingredients, and most of the ingredients are ones you likely have on hand.  At least for me these ingredients are staples.  Which is great!  Anytime I need to take something I can whip this one up quickly.  There is no need to make a special trip to the grocery store.

One of the ingredients is apples.  I would recommend using a sweet apple.  Like a honey crisp, fuji, or a Braeburn apple.  They will need to be cored and diced into bite sized pieces.  To help with the apple preparation I used an apple corer slicer and then I used a knife to dice the slices.   There is no need to peel the apples.  The peelings give it more eye appeal and most of all, there are added healthy benefits.

The cream cheese which should be used at room temperate.  It blends up smoother when it is at room temperature versus when it is cold.  The other ingredients are a caramel sauce.  I use Mrs. Richards brand.  It’s thick and it gives the salad a nice consistency.  Lastly, there is the chopped pecans.  Pecans and caramel are a great flavor pairing.

Mixing

Use a mixer to whip the cream cheese until it is smooth.  Then add in the caramel sauce.  Whip it again until it is fully mixed together.  Fold in the whipped topping.  Followed by the diced apples and the pecans.

Once everything is mixed together it can be served.  It is a great side dish or salad for Ground Beef Stroganoff or with Grilled Honey Glazed Chicken Sandwich.

The next time you’re grilling or when you have a potluck, keep this recipe for Caramel Apple Cheesecake Salad in mind!

Happy Cooking!
