Amazing Pepper Jam Bacon Cheeseburger

Pepper Jam Bacon Cheeseburger

Amazing Pepper Jam Bacon Cheeseburger is a very simple and delicious twist on a regular cheeseburger.  It makes the burger taste like a gourmet burger.

It’s almost grilling season and time to start thinking about those backyard barbeques with family and friends.  Grilled cheeseburgers are amazing and do taste like summer.  Especially that very first one of the summer season, but if you’re looking for something that is easy, and little different to make your cheeseburger, be unique, adding pepper jam bacon to your burger will be it!

The pepper jam bacon would be great to take along to a burger fry with family and friends.  It can easily be added to any cheeseburger.

Ingredients

We grill our burgers year around.  We just like the taste of it.  So, I rarely cook burgers in the house.  For this recipe you can cook your burgers how you prefer them.  Grill them, fry them, bake them.  Whatever works for your taste buds and your available time.

I usually cook bacon in the oven at about 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes on a foil lined baking sheet.  This will vary based on the thickness of the bacon and how crisp you like your bacon.  In this recipe you can cook the bacon using any method you prefer.  You can even buy the already cooked bacon and use that.  One important thing to know is that the bacon needs to be pliable.  That way it will hold up when cooked with the pepper jam.

Oftentimes I will pick up some jars of fruit flavored pepper jams at the local farmer’s Market.  I love that they make a wide variety of fruit flavored pepper jams and lots of different levels of heat too.  It gives me a lot of creative options to choose from.  Also, I feel good about supporting local people.  The burger pictured was made with a peach pepper jam.  Yeah, that was a really good one!

I use Swiss cheese, since it has a flavor that seems to pair nicely with the various pepper jams.  I also like the cheese melted on the burger.  It just tastes better to me.

Assembly

Once everything is cooked, it’s time to assemble the Pepper Jam Bacon Cheeseburger.  Once the burger is on the bun, you add 3-4 halves of the bacon and some of the pepper jam.  Place a few lettuce leaves on top and seal the deal with the top bun.  It is now ready to eat!

Serving

If you’re wondering what to serve with it, how about some homemade seasoned steak fries made in the air fryer?  Or some Crispy Potato Bites?  I think a slice of Fresh Strawberry Pie would taste great with this too!

Happy Cooking!
