The Greatest Food Warmer for Traveling

The Greatest Food Warmer for Traveling

This is the greatest food warmer for traveling.  It is convenient and it can save money, and calories, when compared to food meals.  We got one during Covid to use to warm our meals while we drove 16 hours to visit our son and his family.  Back then many Fastfood places were closed because of Covid and or short staffing.  I purchased this exact Hot Logic Food Warmer.  Mine is even blue.

I came across a Hot Logic Food Warmer, which is an insulated food warmer.  For us to eat while traveling it was great!  It allowed us to have something better than cold lunch meat sandwiches or PB&J sandwiches.  In my mind if it’s hot, it seems like it is more of a meal.  It’s more satisfying.

Since that time, we take it along in our boat fishing and when we travel.  Especially if it’s a long drive and we want to keep our stops short.

One of the fun and unique things about eating a meal from the Hot Logic Food Warmer is that it turns your meal into a picnic.  Make it fun by finding a unique spot to get out of your vehicle and enjoy your meal with nature.

About the Hot Logic Food Warmer

There are something’s to know about the Hot Logic Food Warmer.  It warms food.  It does not cook food.  You will need your food to be in foil, plastic, or a container.  It is safe to warm in plastic wrap and containers.

It comes with a container that you can heat your food in.  So, you could put leftovers in it and warm them up.  Just don’t over pack your food container.  Really dense food will not get warm in the middle.

If you’re making hot sandwiches, hot dog shaped sandwiches will heat up faster and better than a round sandwich.  It’s easier for the heat to get to the center.

It will take about 1 – 2 hours to warm your food.  If I make sandwiches, I will flip them about halfway during the cooking time.

It does not get hot enough to burn your food.

It uses a 9 volt charger in a vehicle.  I’d plug it in the 9-volt charger in the back seat and set the warmer on the floor where I could reach it.  So, I could flip the sandwiches and it was out of our way in the front seat of our vehicle.

I preferred the convenience of warming and serving the food with foil.  The foil acts as a plate, too.

It is best for making foods for 1-2 people.  I did feed 4 people once, but we had only hot dogs warmed up in the Hot Logic Food Warmer.  We put them on the buns when we ate.

Hot Logic Food Warmer Meal Ideas

Breakfast sandwiches are wonderful!  I think they taste better in there than heated up in a microwave.  Pancakes, French toast sticks, and waffles work.  Just know your French toast sticks will not get crispy, just warmed up.

Leftovers or homemade precooked food is a great and easy choice.  These marinated steak cubes and Air Fryer Potatoe Bites would work great wrapped in foil and heated in the warmer.

Sliders work great!  I often made various types of sandwiches or sliders.  I’d make sliders from the Hawaiian sweet rolls and separate them into 2-3 buns sections and wrap in foil.  There are many slider recipes out there that you can try.  I’ve made chicken bacon ranch sliders, Philly Cheese steak sliders, French dip sliders, BBQ pork sliders, and so many more.

Hot dogs, polish sausage, and bratwurst (precooked, of course) work great too!  I would wrap just the meat in the foil and put them on the buns when it was time to eat.

I’ve tried thawed out frozen potatoes wrapped in foil, like waffle fries, French fries, and such.  They heat up, but they do not get crisp.  I have reheated leftover fried potatoes.  They were good, tasty in fact, just not crisp again.  Same with onion rings and cheese balls, good, but not crispy.  The cheeseballs really hit the spot even without being crispy!

Quesadillas wrapped in foil worked great!  Thawed frozen burritos are a good quick easy go to as well.

For sides to go with our warmed food, we take along bags of chips, fruit, yogurt, cold vegetables and dips for our sides.

I will pack a resealable bag with plates, napkins, and plasticware.  Then another little bag with the packets of ketchup, mayo or salsa, salt and pepper.

If you are going to do some traveling and want to travel quickly or you are looking to save money on travel meal, I encourage you to get a Hot Logic Food Warmer.  It really is the greatest food warmer for traveling.  Get creative on your meals and pick a scenic memorable place to eat.

Happy cooking!
