Simple Yet Flavorful All-Purpose Seasoning
It is so convenient having a simple yet flavorful All-Purpose Seasoning, a premixed blend of seasonings on hand and ready to add to your favorite dishes or recipes. This seasoning mix is only 6 ingredients. Just a bit of this all-purpose seasoning quickly adds additional flavor to meats, potatoes, vegetable, and to many more dishes!
I prefer this seasoning in potatoes, vegetables, and on a beef roast cooked in the slow cooker. When making mashed potatoes, just add a teaspoon or to your tastes and instantly turn regular mashed potatoes into garlic mashed potatoes. Just a sprinkle can instantly add flavor to your vegetables. When preparing a roast for the slow cooker, just sprinkle a teaspoon of it over the meat and let it slow cook. I’ll provide the recipe and a link on how I make my roast beef in the slow cooker at a later date.
Many nights a week, I’d get these same ingredients out and add them to whatever I was cooking. Until one day I got the idea to premix them and have it ready whenever I wanted to use some. I figured out the proportions that I typically used, and I made a bulk batch of it. Boy, am I glad I did that! What a time saver to no longer measure and shake these ingredients on to some of my everyday meals that I prepared. I keep a container of it on the counter for easy access when cooking.
All you need is the ingredients below and a pretty container.
- Kosher coarse salt
- Pepper
- Onion flakes
- Garlic powder
- Parsley flakes
- Dried Marjoram
Go ahead and mix this together. It’s great to have this All-Purpose Seasoning on hand to quickly add additional flavor to dishes without a lot of effort.

- 1 Measuring cup
- 1 Storage Container, airtight 2 cup size
Ingredients
- 1 cup Kosher coarse salt
- ⅓ cup Parsley flakes
- ¼ cup Garlic powder
- ¼ cup Onion flakes
- 3 Tbsp Dried Marjoram
- 1 tsp Ground pepper
Instructions
- Mix all together and store in an airtight container.
