Marinaded Steak Cubes

Marinaded Steak Cubes

Marinaded Steak Cubes is a very quick and easy way to prepare steak deliciously.  We like grilling steak and the flavor that grilling gives to steaks.  Cooking these Marinaded Steak Cubes in the air fryer is a great alternative!

I watch the sales at our local grocery store.  Sometimes I can pick up sirloin steak for less than ground beef.   When that happens, I stock up.  We eat steak all year around and not just on special occasions.  So, there are times when it’s not good weather to grill and I will cook the steak in the air fryer.  My family is very particular on how their steaks are cooked.  So, finding out, or should I say figuring out, that the air fryer can make a great steak that is approved by family is a WIN!

The Ingredients

For this recipe I use sirloin, but many other cuts would work.   Cut the steak into about one-inch sized cubes.  Basically, each cube is equal to about two bites of steak.  I do that so the cubes get a nice fry on the outside and are not overcooked on the inside.  I think that is the key to getting them cooked properly.  As you might notice in the picture, these were prepared medium rare.

The ingredients for the marinade are simple and you likely have most of them in your kitchen.  They enhance the flavor of the meat creating a good balance of the marinade flavor and the meat flavor.  Everything gets mixed into a resealable bag and marinated for 2-12 hours.  You can marinade them before you go to work and air fryer them when you get home.  You can marinade the meat for less than 2 hours, but just know that the marinade flavor will not go into the meat as much and you will not get as much flavor in the meat or tenderizing with less marinade time.

Cooking

This is the easy part.  I always preheat my air fryer for about 3 minutes before I put my food in to cook.  You cook it 5 minutes at 400 degrees, give the meat a flip, stir, or toss.  Then finish off the cooking.  If you cook them for 3 minutes it will be about medium rare, and 4 minutes will be closer to medium.  Cook them longer to get medium well and well done.  These are the cooking times I use to get my desired doneness.  There may be slight differences between my air fryer and yours.

If you do not have an air fryer, you can do these in the oven.  Use similar times and temperatures.

Serving

This is the easy part, these Marinade teak Cubes taste great with Boiled Garlic Potatoes, Oven Roasted Potatoes and Carrots, or Cheddar Bacon Potatoe Rounds.  Please check out my recipes listed in the Sides Savory menu.  There are a lot of delicious choices listed.
