Fruit Salsa is perfect snack that kids and adults just love! It is a refreshingly sweet, juicy, and a healthy snack to eat or as an appetizer. It has sweet golden delicious apples, kiwi, and fresh strawberries mixed with fruit preserves and a little sugar.
If you’re looking for something that is healthy to eat and easy to put together this fruit salsa is a great one to serve. Sometimes it’s nice to serve something that isn’t full of fat and calories, but something the is lighter and seems like a healthier food choice.
The Ingredients
The recipe calls for golden delicious apples, kiwi, and strawberries. The fruits add a perfect sweetness to the fruit salsa. I do not peel the apples. I simply core the apples and dice them very small.
For finely dicing the fruits you can use a knife or a food chopper to chop them very finely. I use a food chopper.
The fruit preserves, can be any fruit flavor. You do not have to select a preserve that is one of the fruits int eh fruit salsa. I have used strawberry and I’ve used apricot. Both have tasted great! Since it’s a small amount, I suggest using the preserves you already have on hand.
Once everything is in the bowl, just mix it well and it’s ready to eat!
The Tortilla Chips
You can make your own cinnamon sugar tortilla chips or there are premade items use can use. Such as:
- Graham crackers
- Cinnamon Sugar chips
- Cinnamon sugar pretzels
Any of these other premade items will taste great with the fruit salsa.
Please consider adding this Frut Salsa to your next get together with family or with friends. It is something they will enjoy any time of the year!
