Broccoli Made in the Air Fryer

Air Fryer Broccoli

Did you know you can roast frozen broccoli in the air fryer?  And it tastes so wonderful!  This method is kid friendly too.  My grandchildren love it when I make broccoli like this.

I love the fact that this is so simple to do.  It is great to have a quick and simple method of cooking that allows you to focus on other things, yet you know this is tasty and even better, it is very healthy to serve your family and friends.

If you are not familiar with an air fryer or have never used one here are some basic things to know.  It can roast, fry, and crisp food without using an oil.  Sometimes I will spray olive oil on foods such as fish to get a better crisp without deep frying it.  It’s great when you would want to roast something, but you don’t want to heat the house up by using the oven.  If you’re not sure what settings to use, most air fryers have preset settings to help you.

Simply buy frozen broccoli and I would recommend trying to get the ones that have more flowerets.  To prepare the broccoli, preheat the air fryer for a couple of minutes.  Once it is preheated you can add in your frozen broccoli.  I spread them out, so they are in a single layer.  Then I set the timer for 15 minutes.  You will need to stir it twice during the cooking process.  The flowerets tend to want to burn quickly.  However, once it’s done cooking, you can add a bit of butter and salt and pepper it to taste. Stir it and it is ready to serve.

It’s so simple to go from fully frozen broccoli made in the air fryer to ready to eat.

I like to serve this with a meat and potatoes kind of meal.  Such as Barbeque Meatballs and Boiled Garlic Potatoes.   It also goes great as a side dish to Pepperoni Pizza Sloppy Joes.

Happy Cooking!
