Super Easy Barbeque Ribs

Super Easy Barbeque Ribs

This Super Easy Barbeque Ribs recipe has only 5 ingredients and they are fall off the bone tender and juicy!  They are easy to make and require little effort.

Being an Iowa native, I grew up on pork.  With Iowa being one of the major pork producing states in the US, it was very easy to buy in the grocery stores and there were often sales.  In our little corner of the world, pork was everywhere.  So it is not surprising that I enjoy eating barbeque pork ribs, especially baby back ribs.  And when the meat pulls cleanly off the bone, and you get saucy fingers, yum!  Obviously, I like them to be moist, saucy, and fall off the bone tender.

I’ve tried several different recipes and different methods to making them, but none of them where what I was looking for.  So I created my own recipe and method that is super easy, fall off the bone tender, moist & juicy, and saucy.  There were no complaints from my family about this mission to eat and provide feedback on several different rib recipes.  This recipe is the one they preferred as well.

This recipe calls for either pork baby back or spareribs, and simple ingredients that most people have at home.  These barbeque ribs are so easy to make, very flavorful, and they are fall off the bone finger licking good with just 3-5 ingredients.  The beer provides a very subtle hint of barley flavor to the meat which I think compliments the flavors, but it does not overpower the recipe.

The oven makes them fall off these Super Easy Barbeque Ribs tender and they are moist with the caramelize saucy goodness.  They are finger licking good!

Happy Cooking!

These ribs are so easy and they are fall off the bone tender and the grill will caramelize the barbeque sauce and adds a little grill flavor, too.  Did I mention that they don’t make many pans dirty either.  It’s always a win when there is less mess and less clean up. Enjoy!

Equipment

  • 1 Baking pan 9x13 or larger
  • Knife
  • Large plate or platter
  • Tongs
  • Grill

Ingredients

  • 1 rack Baby Back Pork Ribs or Spareribs
  • 1 can Beer, any kind
  • 2 dashes Liquid Smoke
  • 1 20-28 oz Bottle of barbeque sauce
  • 1 medium Onion, roughly chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • Place the rack of ribs meat side down, rib side up into a 9x13 pan or a roasting pan that the ribs fit in. Sometimes I will cut the ribs into 2-4 rib sections and then put them into the pan. They're a little easier to handle that way.
  • Pour about two thirds of the bottle of barbeque sauce on the ribs.
  • Pour the beer into the pan, add your liquid smoke, and top with the sliced onions. There is no need to mix everything.  It does that as it cooks in the oven.
  • Cover the pan with aluminum foil and bake for 2 hours.
  • Remove the pan from the oven.
  • Using tongs, take the ribs out of the plan and place on a platter.
  • Add more barbeque sauce on both sides of the ribs.
  • Place the rack of ribs or sections of ribs on a preheated grill.  I go with a low heat or on indirect heat. They will need to cook just a few minutes on each side to caramelize the barbeque sauce. Watch them closely.  The sugar in the barbeque sauce will make them burn quickly.
  • Serve immediately.  Have plenty of napkins ready. They are moist and saucy.
